Supply only or fully installed?

The shell is the same either way. What changes is who organises the job, who carries the risk on the day, and where the money goes. Here is the difference, plainly.

What each one means

Supply only

You buy the shell, the equipment and the engineering pack, delivered to your site. From there the job is yours: excavation, crane, bedding, plumbing, electrical, bond beam, backfill, fencing and paving. You or your builder book and manage those trades.

Fully installed

One company takes the pool from the dig to water in. You pay for the pool, the trades, and the organising of the trades. You make fewer phone calls and carry less of the risk.

What you manage on supply only

• Approval. Council or a private certifier, plus the barrier plan. The engineering pack is what they ask for.
• Sequencing. The hole, the crane and the delivery have to line up on the same day.
• Access. Truck to the kerb and a clear lift for the crane. Read the access guide.
• Ground. Sand, rock and a high water table each change how the job is done. Your excavator and your certifier will tell you what the site needs.
• Sign-off. Plumbing and electrical by licensed trades, then the barrier inspected before anyone swims.

When supply only makes sense

• You already have a builder or landscaper on the job.
• You are an owner-builder and happy to run trades. Check the owner-builder rules first.
• You are outside the areas an installer covers, or you want to pick your own trades.

When fully installed makes sense

• You do not want to manage trades, and you are happy to pay for someone who will.
• The site is difficult: tight access, a steep block or a high water table.
• Time matters more to you than the saving.

Common questions

Is supply only cheaper?

Usually, because you are not paying someone to organise trades you can ring yourself. The saving depends on who you have. A builder already on site makes it simple. Hiring every trade from scratch takes time and some of the saving goes on it.

Does the warranty change?

No. The structural warranty covers the manufacture of the shell either way. It has never covered a bad install, whoever does it.

Can I start supply only and change my mind?

Yes. In NSW and Queensland our licensed crew can install on sites that suit, priced after a look at your block. In Victoria we deliver only, so you or your builder install.
