We supply pools into South East Queensland because the economics genuinely work. The shells are made on the NSW mid-north coast, which puts Brisbane closer than most people assume, and it means a Brisbane buyer can go direct on the shell instead of paying a showroom margin on top of a franchise territory.

Delivery to Brisbane

Every shell leaves our factory on the NSW mid-north coast. Freight is worked out on your actual address and built into the price we quote you, so it is never a surprise line at the end.

Brisbane carries more freight than Sydney, but less than the territory margin a franchised showroom adds to the same shell. That is the whole reason buying direct still stacks up at this distance. Ask us and we will give you the delivered number for your address.

What does not stack up is far north Queensland. Past Townsville, freight starts to bite. Ask and we will tell you straight. Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba are all comfortably in range.

Brisbane blocks, and what actually fits

Brisbane is not one kind of site. The three we see most:

The inner-city Queenslander

Paddington, Bardon, Red Hill, Ashgrove. High-set on stumps, steep fall to the rear, and often under three metres of side access. These almost always need a crane over the house rather than a machine down the side, and the pool that fits is a slim one. The Nova, Oasis and Entertainer ranges are all 3.0 to 3.5 metres wide, which is what lets them go into a yard a wider shell cannot reach.

The outer estate

North Lakes, Springfield, Ripley, Redbank Plains. Flat, newer, usually with proper side access, and the block is often wider than it is deep. Here you are not constrained, so the question becomes what you actually want, and the wider shapes like the Cosmo and Belmont come into play, because there is room for a pool to be played in rather than swum in.

The acreage block

Samford, Pullenvale, out toward Ipswich. Room for anything, easy truck access, and usually the shortest and cheapest install of the three. If you have the space, this is where the eight to eleven metre shells make sense.

Crane access, and how to check yours before you spend anything

A fibreglass shell is craned in, and the crane is usually the single biggest access cost. The good news is a shell is light. A seven metre pool is roughly 400 kilograms, so this is nothing like lifting a concrete pool. What decides the cost is reach, not weight.

• Side access over about 900 mm clear and a machine can usually walk it down. Cheapest option.
• Under that, or a fence and a neighbour’s eave in the way, and it goes over the house. Budget $1,800 to $3,200 for the crane day plus the float.
• Steep fall to the rear, which is half of inner Brisbane, usually means a bigger crane with more reach and a longer setup.
• Powerlines over the street matter more than people expect. Energex clearance requirements can turn a straightforward lift into a traffic management job.

Queensland compliance, and what we hand you

Queensland has its own rules and they are stricter than most states on the barrier side. Every shell we supply comes engineered and certified for Queensland conditions, with the Form 15 engineering certification in the pack.

What you or your builder still handle:

• Building approval through a private certifier or council
• A compliant pool barrier and the pool safety certificate
• Registering the pool on the Queensland pool safety register
• The install itself: excavation, crane, plumbing, electrical, backfill

Queensland enforces the barrier rules seriously and the certificate is required before the pool can be used, and again when a property is sold or leased. It is not a step to leave to the end.

The Brisbane climate advantage nobody mentions

This one saves you real money, so it is worth being specific. In Sydney or anywhere inland, a pool without heating is roughly a four month pool, which is why most southern jobs add a heat pump.

Brisbane is different. The climate does most of the work, and plenty of Brisbane pools run comfortably from September through to May with no heating at all. A heat pump is still worth having if you want it year round, but in Brisbane it is genuinely optional rather than the thing that makes the pool usable.

If you were budgeting for heating, that is an upgrade you may simply not need, and it is the reason a Brisbane job often lands cheaper overall than the same pool in Sydney despite the extra freight.

What a Brisbane pool costs

The shell is one line of a bigger number. Our honest cost guide breaks down every trade with real 2026 rates for excavation, crane, plumbing, electrical, coping, fencing and approvals, and explains why a builder’s quote sits above the sum of those parts.

Short version for a straightforward seven metre pool with reasonable access: expect $30,000 to $60,000 for the works, on top of the shell and equipment. Difficult access, rock or high-end surrounds push it higher. We price the shell for your actual address rather than quoting a range.

Common questions about pools in Brisbane

Do you actually deliver to Brisbane, or is it a technicality?

We deliver into South East Queensland regularly and have trade customers there buying repeatedly. Freight is built into the quoted price and calculated on real road distance from the factory.

Is it cheaper to buy from a Brisbane supplier?

On freight alone, yes, because they are closer. On the total, usually not, because buying direct removes a showroom margin that is generally larger than the freight difference. Get both delivered numbers and compare them properly.

Do I need a heat pump in Brisbane?

Usually not. The climate gives you most of the year without one. It is worth having if you want to swim through winter, but unlike Sydney it is a preference rather than a requirement.

Who handles the Queensland pool safety certificate?

Your certifier or builder, as part of the barrier. We supply the shell engineering and the Form 15 certification; the barrier and the safety certificate sit with whoever does the install.

Can my own builder install it?

Yes, and most of our Queensland work goes that way. We supply the shell, equipment and engineering, your builder does the rest.
