Fibreglass pools in Taree and the Manning
Our yard is at Taree, so this is the shortest delivery run we do. Australian-made shells, NSW engineering in the pack, and you choose whether you install it, your builder does, or we arrange it.
The shortest run we do
Freight is a real cost that moves with distance. Taree, Wingham, Cundletown, Old Bar, Harrington and Manning Point are all a short run from the yard, so the delivery part of your price is about as small as it gets. That is the whole reason a pool costs different money in different towns.
It also means we can get to you. Before we price anything we look at your block on the aerial and the planning maps, and being local makes delivery day simple to plan.
Ground around the Manning
River flats and flood levels
A lot of Taree, Cundletown and Croki sits on the Manning floodplain. Your council will have a flood planning level for the address, and it changes what the certifier wants to see. Check it before you commit to a spot in the yard, because it is easier to design around at the start than to argue about later.
Coastal sand at Old Bar and Harrington
Closer to the beach you are usually in sand. Sand digs easily but will not hold a wall, so the hole is cut and the shell set without leaving an open excavation sitting around. It is a sequencing question more than a cost question.
A high water table
Low ground near the river and the creeks can carry a high water table, and a fibreglass shell is buoyant. That is normal to design for. You want hydrostatic relief and you keep the pool full. Tell us if your block sits low and we will raise it before you dig.
Approval through MidCoast Council
Most backyard pools in New South Wales go through as a complying development with a private certifier, and the rest go to council as a development application. Either way the engineered shell drawing, the installation details and the Certificate of Compliance come in your kit, which is what your certifier asks for first.
Your pool barrier has to meet the Australian Standard and the pool gets registered on the NSW swimming pool register before anyone swims.
Common questions
Is a pool cheaper in Taree because your yard is here?
The delivery part of it is, yes. Freight is worked out from the yard to your site, so a short run costs less than a long one. The shell, the equipment and the engineering pack cost the same wherever they go.
Do you deliver to Wingham, Old Bar and Harrington?
Yes, and to Cundletown, Manning Point, Hallidays Point and the rest of the Manning. Tell us your suburb and we price the delivery properly rather than guessing at it.
My block is on the floodplain. Can I still put a pool in?
Usually yes, it just has to be designed for it. Your council has a flood planning level for the address, and a high water table means hydrostatic relief and keeping the pool full. Send us the address and we will look at it before you spend anything.
Want a delivered price for your Taree address?
Tell us the model and your suburb and we will come back with one delivered number, freight included. No obligation and we do not put you on a mailing list. Not sure it will fit, or that a truck can get in? Ask for a free site and access check.
