The shell is 5.90 by 2.28 m. Allow about a metre around it to dig and to work, which puts the hole and its working room at roughly 7.9 by 4.3 m. Add a walkable surround and the finished area is about 8.9 by 5.3 m, which is roughly 34 square metres of paving or grass around the water.

At 2.28 m across it is one of the narrower shells we sell, which is why it turns up on blocks where nothing else fits. It still arrives on a truck and is craned or walked in, so the side access and the overhead still decide the day.

Setbacks are the other half of it. As a working rule leave at least a metre between the water and the fence, and your certifier confirms the exact figure for your block. Drop a Cleo 5 onto your own block and you will know in about a minute.
